*cries and cries and cries and cries and it’s all Moffat’s fault*
It’s been a pleasure. Don’t spoil it. This is how I want you to remember me. The woman who beat you.
To Sherlock Holmes she is always the woman.
—- Watson, “A Scandal in Bohemia”
I have been beaten four times—three times by men and once by a woman.
—- Holmes, “The Five Orange Pips”
Moffat and Gatiss, all canon all the time.
HEY, It’s a Sherlock Valentines Giveaway!
Okay, I’ve been wanting to run a giveaway for AGES and this seems like the perfect time. I made these cards for my Etsy shop but here’s a chance to get some for free.
I will be mailing out cards to the twelve winners on the 10th of February with a special message written on them. ;)
All you have to do is REBLOG this post and you will get your name added to a drawing that I will do on the 8th. Only one reblog is necessary to be added to the drawing. I will contact the winners by ask! (so make sure your ask is up or I will have to select another winner)
Thanks guys! I hope you enjoy them! :)))
((You can see the cards here: Sherlock, John, Irene & Moriarty ))
“I’m not hungry. Let’s have dinner.” = words that would absolutely guarantee you a date with me.
‘Sherlock’ co-creator Steven Moffat promises that fans won’t have to wait too long for season 3 – but still longer than normal, while also revealing his plan to return to ‘Sherlock’ in 2030, with the same cast.
The other day I was falling asleep to The Beekeeper’s Apprentice and thinking how lovely it would be if this cast came back in a decade or two to play out some of Laurie R. King’s stories. Except I was thinking Elle Fanning should play Mary Russell, and she’d be too old for the role by then.
But still, how exciting will it be to suddenly get new Sherlock after a few decades’ silence?
And then I’d accidentally be in public places and my phone would be in my pocket going “ohhhhh.” And while I can see the appeal, I don’t think it’s the best idea.
The gun twiddle was smoking hot. Ahem. Yes.
To be fair, ACD never elaborated on Holmes’s physical mannerisms that much. And I think it’s completely in character for his brain to do the mental calculus necessary to flip things like that, and for him to be doing it to ponder an object. He’s intensely aware of everything, observing the weight and shape of an object tossed into the air fits with that.
JUST WATCH IT.
The person who made this deserves an A+.
What just… WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME?!?!?!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH
Oh. My. God.
WELL PLAYED, SIR. WELL PLAYED.
Your facial expressions. Your face.
This explains about 65% of my life and why I like it so much.
