perfectly normal paranoia
This is my personal blog, a journal of my life; my blog of pretty things (et cetera) is here. Twenty-two. Might as well be five.
I'm moving to Portland, OR in September, so if you're a Portland-living person, say hi! New friends for a new city are much appreciated.

duALIty: “Clear, Visible Filth” and “L’ecriture Feministe”

(left is duALIty, right is “L’ecriture Feministe” and “Clear, Visible Filth” is here)

Ali & Ali are both doing solo performance pieces for their senior projects, so they’re doing them in one night called duALIty. (Yes, I did come up with that, and yes, I am proud.)

Speaking of Ali & Ali’s senior project advertisements…
Yes, that is a bologna bra.

Photojojo is holding a contest for their mini digital camera and to enter you have to submit a photo of you being sneaky.
Conveniently, this happens to be the last photo I took this weekend while shooting Ali & Ali’s senior project advertisements. Sneaky sneak monster taking pictures in the dance studio mirrors without using the viewfinder, that’s me!

I hope my future wife understands that she doesn’t get to pick our babies’ names…

I mean she can pick them from my list, but my list is non-negotiable because it is perfect.

I’m slightly drunk but mostly serious.

I mean I even have sets picked out in case they’re twins.

This list is like 30 names long. If she doesn’t like any of the names, we probably shouldn’t be having children together.

I love that this is where our conversation has ended up tonight. I made Ali and Melanie say their lists first because I’m so serious about mine.

Moved in. Not unpacked at all. Had people over last night, terrific fun. The apartment is beyond gorgeous, the building is adorable, we’re walking distance from a 24-hour diner. Melanie is in California right now but Ali is staying with us for the month, so the apartment seems cozy and not too big.

I’m currently accessing the internet by tethering to my phone, which I’m sure is going to make a disaster of my data plan, but it works for now.

Today I tackle unpacking and acquire a microwave. Probably I’ll go out for breakfast, just because I can walk to Starbucks just as easily as the grocery store, and I’d rather have a fresh egg sandwich handed to me than have to try and buy and fry eggs in the middle of unpacking. Then I try and find a job. Because I am officially a real person with nothing else to do, no school, just life and bills to pay. Holy fuck.

Panini Friday with Ali and Ali. The table still has the remnants of someone else’s game of Kings on it. But the point of this is that our paninis were delicious.

I just need to remind everyone of how fantastic Ali is.  (Also, she is making The Face and I appreciate that I’m not the only one who does this.)

not quite that desperate...

Riley: Please tell me you have cigarettes.
Tony: Sorry, I don't buy them.
Ali: How are you?
Tony: Eh, tired. Working.
Riley: I'll gladly gift you an energy drink if you find me cigarettes.
Tony: If by "energy drink" you mean blow job, then okay.

a salute to you too, ma’am

“I’m getting kind of tired of the whole hook-up thing.”
“You’re allowed to be tired of it, you have a lot of sex. But I do not have enough sex and it is not okay.”
“I don’t have any sex and I’m fine with it.”
A ladycop strolls through our corner of the library.
“You’re a virgin, you’re allowed to not have sex. I need to have more sex.”
