This is my personal blog, a journal of my life; my blog of pretty things (et cetera) is here. Twenty-three. Might as well be five.
I just moved to Portland, OR, so if you're a Portland-living person, say hi! New friends for a new city are much appreciated.

The Purchase Independent, issue 246 available online now!
I am so proud of this issue. It’s our first 16 of the semester, thanks to two incredible personal accounts of Purchase students who were arrested at Occupy Wall Street.Cover photo of Julie at SlutWalk NYC taken by Melanie. Tom and I high-fived multiple times and hugged twice during the creation of this issue. The first hug was because Christie’s OWS story was exactly, down to the line, 4 columns long. It was the first story we placed in the layout and it seemed like a sign, that the issue was going to go well. (I ended up putting a photo with the story and extending it beyond a spread, but still.) The second hug was when we had the final proof printed, because we did it!
